Natural Recipes for Skin Care - Going Organic
Natural recipes for skin care have abounded significantly and
homemade cleansers are one of the more popular and easier to do products at home. Beauty, like fashion, is a never-ending cycle of trends. Cosmetics in the past several decades have shown a cyclical pattern. The 70's brought about a youthful, fresh look in makeup, the 80's introduced punk and glam with thick, heavy & striking applications, the 90's was all about metallics and the turn of the century sees itself going back to organic cosmetics. The trend of natural beauty is back, finding its roots in the comfort of your home.
Natural Recipes for Skin Care - D-I-YInvest time and save big bucks while making your own
natural skin care remedies at home. Most of the ingredients needed to make your own
homemade cleanser is most likely available in your food pantry. Here are some basic
homemade cleanser recipes that are easy to follow and a joy to use:
Homemade Cleanser #1 – Use a combination of oatmeal and cornmeal with some
wheat germ, honey and enough water to make a paste and voila – you have your very own facial scrub. If you want some scent added, you can use extracts from citrus fruits or even some of your bottle cologne or perfume.
Homemade Cleanser #2 – Salt is a natural exfoliant. Use the fine salt and rub gently on damp skin. Salt helps remove dead skin cells and re-hydrates skin. Be sure to wash off the dried grains afterwards!
Homemade Cleanser #3 – If you mix some honey, sugar and ground almonds, apart from getting almond paste for your cakes, what you also get is a
natural skin care product meant to exfoliate dead skin cells and re-hydrate at the same time.
