Toning Skin Care Treats
There are thee types of a healthy skin care routine - cleansing skin care, toning skin care, and moisturizing skin care. Washing your face with a mild cleanser will remove oil and dirt from your face, but that's not enough.
A skincare toner cleanses and freshens up the face further. When you tone your face, remember that there are certain facial massage techniques that relax facial muscles.
Use a cotton ball to apply toner to your face. Start from the middle of a certain facial part (right cheek, left cheek) and slowly move the cotton ball outward in circular motions. Skincare toners usually contain alcohol that can dry your skin.
If you have sensitive or dry skin, you may want to skip toning to avoid irritation. Or better yet, you can make your own facial toner using natural skincare ingredients.
For normal skin, you may use rosewater or cucumber to cool down skin. For dry skin, a mint toner will freshen up your skin without stripping away essential moisture.
For oily skin, an alcohol and alum toner is best used to lessen the oil that can cause breakouts. Lastly, for combination skin, lavender petals are great to even out skin's moisture.
After-Toning Skin Care
After toning, the best thing to do is apply moisturizer on your face. Most toners contain alcohol that can dry out your face. This kind of toner is not recommended for those with sensitive or combination skin. However, natural toning products will restore the natural pH of your face.
Moisturizers hydrate your face and keep out dust particles away from your pores. You may want to use a sun block during the day to protect your face from the UV rays. Just go by the 3 types of skincare routine and you're guaranteed to have healthy and beautiful skin.
