Body Lotions
The wind, sun, bathing and shaving can cause dry skin and body lotions are great solutions to this problem. For scaly patches on the elbows, legs and feet, the daily application of body drench moisturizing lotion can help a lot.
Body Lotions - A Lotion to Accompany you in any Occasion
Choose a moisturizing lotion you like, and use it regularly. Try to avoid using harsh soaps, and try to use products that are labeled as moisturizing. In addition, try to avoid applying soap on your entire body, and instead use cleansers only under the arms or in the groin area.
If you love staying outdoors and always stay under the sun, never forget to wear a sun block, as too much exposure to the sun can make the skin leathery and dry. However, with the use of sun block, skin damage is minimized, and the wrinkling and drying of the skin is controlled before it gets out of hand.
Consider your skin condition when choosing a lotion. A body lotion termed as "noncomedogenic" has been tested and proven to not cause acne, while unscented body lotion is less likely to cause allergic reactions. Choose these types of body lotion if you have sensitive skin.
If you like to garden, you should note that gardening is the most drying activities. It is a wrong habit to scrub dirt off using harsh soap, as this can cause sore skin. To keep your skin from drying, it is best to use gloves and to use a lotion or a non soap cleaner to remove the dirt. You can then just wipe away the excess lotion with paper towels.
