Moisturizing Lotion Recipe
3 cup distilled water
3 tsp borax
3⁄4 cup vegetable oil
6 tsp beeswax
35 drops essential oil
Heat water and borax and stir for 20 minutes. In a separate container, heat the vegetable oil and beeswax and slowly add the water into the oil mixture until it thickens. Add your favorite essential oil. Pour into containers when cool.
Coconut Lotion Recipe (Great for Very Dry Skin)
10g shea butter
7g virgin coconut de creme
8g coconut nutri oil
12.25g beeswax
6g stearic acid
2g glycerin
3oz distilled water
4-5 drops liquid silk protein
Heat the stearic acid and water on medium heat. Add the beeswax when the stearic acid is almost melted. Remove from the heat and add the shea butter. When everything melts return to heat and add the virgin coconut de creme, and the nutri oil. Remove from heat again.
In a separate container, heat the distilled water and glycerine. When the oils mix slowly add the water and glycerin mixture. Pour into containers when cool. |
