Homemade Hand Lotion

Homemade Hand Lotion Recipes - To Try, Use and Give as Gifts
Dry Skin Hand Lotion
3⁄4 cup of apricot or almond oil
1⁄3 cup of coconut oil or cocoa butter
1 tsp lanolin
1⁄2 oz grated beeswax
2⁄3 cup rosewater
1⁄3 cup aloe vera gel
1-2 drops rose oil
1 vitamin e capsule
Melt the first four ingredients over low heat then allow to cool. Mix together the following three ingredients as well as the contents of one vitamin E capsule. Add the first ingredients together to this mixture and mix until you get a creamy consistency. Pour into a covered colorful jar and let cool.
Soothing Hand Lotion
1⁄3 cup eau de cologne of you choice
1⁄3 cup fresh lemon juice
1⁄3 cup glycerine
Pour these three ingredients into a bottle and shake well. This can be kept in the refrigerator for up to one week. Imagine the savings!
Avocado Lotion Bar
4 oz avocado butter
4 oz bees wax
4 oz vegetable oil
3 tbsp essential oil or fragrance oil
Melt the avocado butter into an 8 oz glass measuring cup. Add 4 ounces of beeswax beads and melt together in the microwave. Next add the liquid vegetable oil and stir to mix thoroughly and let cool. Add your favorite fragrance oil and pour into molds. When cool, remove the lotion bars from the mold.
