Making lotion bars requires a combination of beeswax, coconut oil and another oil of choice along with fragrance. Hand Lotion Bar Recipes to Try Out at Home

Lotion Bar Recipe for Dry Hands

1 oz. sweet almond oil

1 oz. coconut oil

1 oz. cocoa butter

1 oz. beeswax

5 drops of essential oil of your choice

Mix the first four ingredients in a bowl in low heat.  When they melt together, add the essential oil and pour into molds of your choice and let cool.

Extra Rich Lotion Bar

3 oz. beeswax

2 oz. mango butter

1 oz. almond oil

1 oz. jojoba oil

1 oz. hemp seed oil

fragrance of your choice

Melt beeswax on low heat then add the mango butter. When mango is almost melted, remove from the heat.   Add the other oils and fragrance of your choice and mix together.  Pour mixture into molds and let cool.

Skin Softening Lotion Bar

2 oz. beeswax

2 oz. shea butter

5 oz. cocoa butter

1.5 oz. apricot kernal oil

1.5 oz. sweet almond oil

1 tbsp emu oil

lavender

mandarin

geranium

Melt the first three ingredients in a double boiler.  Next, add the apricot, almond and emu oil.  Finally, add a few drops each of the Lavender, Mandarin, and Geranium scents.  Mix well and pour into molds and let cool.
