Facial Masks for Great Looking Skin

Facial masks are a must for any serious facial skin care regimen. There's more to facial skin care than regular washing and cleansing. Dirty particles deeply embedded in the skin, which may cause blemishes such as acne and rashes, cannot be removed by simply using ordinary facial washes and cleansers. And with the many chemicals used to manufacture cosmetics, it is also no wonder that people opt for safe cosmetics for sensitive skin.

Facial Masks - Look Younger than Ever

A facial mask can be made from mud, fruits, baking soda, and more. Whatever form or kind they may be, a facial mask functions to cleanse from deep within the skin. They can also be used to tighten pores, remove excess oil, moisturize and rejuvenate dry and tired skin, etc. A face mask reveals the skin's inner beauty by improving blood circulation and completely lifting off hard-to-remove dirt.

Cosmetics are used to cleanse, beautify and enhance different parts of our body. Common cosmetic products are skin creams, lotions, perfumes, lipsticks, nail polishes, make-ups, toothpastes, deodorants, etc. But some cosmetics contain ingredients that may cause harmful irritations to sensitive skin. Instead of making skin more beautiful, other cosmetics may cause damage. However, with careful selection and proper application of safe cosmetics, these problems need not occur.

Go for powder as much as possible. It contains very few preservatives and minimal ingredients, but its great at removing shine and oil.

Practice regular cleaning of the face after applying cosmetics. Do not leave make-up on before sleeping. Use a facial mask every 5-7 days. Make-up leftovers can be totally removed with the application of a facial mask. The facial mask should be used properly. It should be applied evenly on the entire face except on the eyes and mouth areas. A facial mask can be in foam or peel-off type. A foaming facial mask can be washed off after 5-6 minutes, while a peel-off facial mask can be peeled-off after the skin's surface is taut and dry, usually after 10-20 minutes.
