Facial Beds: Correcting the Uneven Tan
Ever heard of facial beds specifically for tanning? Well they are all the rage in the tanning world. There are many products to promote tanning - there's the dark tanning lotion that promises to give you a good, dark tan while providing you with the ultra-violet protection you need. Then there's the tanning oil, giving you a reddish brown appearance WITHOUT the ultra-violet protection your skin craves. There are also self-tanners that come in gel, spray and lotion formulations. But how sure are you that you'll get an even tan and won't need cosmetic make up to correct the problem? Enter the facial tanning bed. Facial Beds - An Introduction Remember that when you tan yourself under the sun, it's the same as burning the upper layer of skin. As a result, you are prone to peel after a few days or a few weeks. Without the protection of an ultra-violet sunblock lotion, your skin WILL burn. Sunblock lotions minimize the damaging effects of the sun's rays, lessening chances of burning and therefore reducing the possibility of peeling. But there's really no perfect tan...the skin will eventually peel and not all at the same time. Cosmetic makeup is used to cover-up peeled skin, like concealers, foundations and powders. So we go back to our question - How do you get an even tan without the added cosmetic gunk? Facial bed tanners are the answer. A standard facial tanning bed will have three quartz facial bulbs per unit which are adjustable. Each facial bed comes with 32 or 35 bulbs for more tanning power. The result is an even tan any beach bum would envy. If you're likely to take advantage of this convenient way of tanning, note that a facial tanning bed session is going to cost you at least $7 per session. It works while you wait for a 15-20 minute period.
