Natural Lotion Recipes that Are Easy to Make
Soft Skin Lotion
Ingredients
1 cup dried chamomile
4 tablespoons honey
1 cup milk
Instructions:
Mix the dried chamomile and milk for a few hours then strain it and keep the liquid. Chamomile is a soothing ingredient and milk contains lactic acid that helps the skin exfoliate dead skin cells. Add the honey and wheat germ to the liquid mixture. Blend well and place it in a bottle. This
natural lotion can be refrigerated up to one week.
Hypoallergenic Lotion (great for sensitive skin)
Ingredients:
3 cups water
3 teaspoons borax
3⁄4 cup oil
6 teaspoons beeswax
45 drops fragrance or essential oil
Instructions:
Heat the to 170 degrees. Add the borax, stir, and hold at 170 degrees for 20 minutes. Heat the oil and beeswax to 170 degrees and then slowly drizzle the water into the oil mixture and beat with a hand beater until an emulsion forms. As the lotion cools, stir it occasionally to prevent separation. Finally, add the fragrance or essential oil and stir. When the lotion is cool, store it in the refrigerator. Keeps for one week!
